Winning is Secondary But Comes Often for California Grizzlies
The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) interviewed President John George at this year's National Matches at Camp Perry after the team captured the Freedom’s Fire Trophy, which honors the first-place team in the National Trophy Junior Team Match.

May 6 & 7th Western States Highpower Rifle Championship at Coalinga
Twelve Grizzlies joined this past weekend to compete in a two-day Western State Highpower Rifle Competition in Coalinga. In total, over 47 junior and adult competitors were traveling in from all over the state - as far north as Eureka and far south from Temecula. The weather was unseasonably cooler than usual for this time of year.

April 2023 Coalinga Service Rifle Championship
Over 40 competitors participated in this past weekend's State Championship for the service rifle. This included nine current Grizzlies, of which 3 are new team members, along with 3 Grizzlies alumni. A few highlights of the Grizzlies include Brady Alford placing first for both days in the Sharpshooter classification.

Camp O'Connell: Grizzlies week-long training in over 105 heat!
Week June 19th - The California Grizzlies attended the annual week-long training with Coach Jim O'Connell at the Coalinga Rifle Club in daily heat of over 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Getting up at 5 am, Coach O'Connell spends the early morning into the afternoon running the Juniors through rigorous daily shooting practices.
